In light of Josh and I expecting ("hapai" in Hawaiian or bun in the oven:) ), 10/8/06 will be my last event (for a while, anyway:) ).

Starting in November 2006, my good friend, musician and poet, Lisa Locke (http://www.lisalocke.net) will be taking over. These events will also be changing to the first Sunday of every month at a new venue, Porter Square Books. Those interested in continuing to receive information about these events and/or being a possible music or poet feature, should email Lisa at Lisa@LisaLocke.net.

Thanks so much to all of you who have attended and participated, lending and sharing your artistic talent in the past year, to The Somerville News, The Tir na nOg, The Sherman Cafe and Toast Lounge and especially, to Neil McCabe, the former Editor of the Somerville News who first invited me to play @ Toast, and Doug Holder, who founded this Series in 2004. It has been a truly FAB and inspiring experience!

Upcoming Features @ the Somerville News Poetry/Music Series Events
The event starts at 3pm. I play for about 15 minutes to welcome folks and set the mood. This is followed by a half-hour or so set for each poet and musician feature (caution advised --certain features may have overlapping talents!), flexible of course... I may play again 15 minutes afterwards or in between, whatever feels right depending on set-up etc. Then there is an open mic for poets and singer-songwriters. Bards musical and lyrical alike are welcome to join us and share their creative efforts.
